how to wash your Thinx
Thinx are super simple to care for, so you can use them again and again — just treat your Thinx like you would any other delicates (your regular undies or bras).
- 1. machine wash cold
- Throw them in with the rest of your laundry on a delicate cycle. (Your other clothes will be fine!) Do not use bleach or fabric softener.
- or, hand wash
- If you don’t have a washing machine, try handwashing your Thinx in lukewarm water. Fun fact: handwashing *all* of your delicates preserves elasticity!
- 2. hang dry
- Hang up your Thinx in a non-humid environment, and wait for them to fully dry before putting them away. No ironing, please!

tips & tricks
Caring for your Thinx quickly becomes a part of your routine. Here are some pointers from a few Thinx super fans:
rinse in the shower
I go into the shower wearing my Thinx and rinse them there. Then, I can throw them right in the wash or hang them up to dry if I’m not doing laundry right away. - Dani B.
use a mesh bag
During the week of my period, I store them in a mesh bag, and after they’re washed, I don’t have to go through my wet laundry and fish them out. No more accidental drying! - Amelia F.
hang dry overnight
I don't have a laundry machine, so I usually wait until a night after my period is over, and wash and hang all my Thinx together. By morning, they’re all dry and I can put them away. - Nora R.
Won’t the blood get all over my other clothes if I put them in the washing machine?
Nope! Washing Thinx with your other laundry is perfectly hygienic and won’t stain your other clothes — if you’re still concerned, you can also give your undies a quick rinse after use, allow them to dry, then throw them in the hamper for laundry day.
Oops, I put my Thinx in the dryer! What will happen?
Don’t panic — a few cycles in the dryer won’t hurt your Thinx. However, repeated exposure can reduce the performance of the underwear, so try not to make a habit of it!
How long do Thinx take to hang dry?
The drying time of the underwear will depend on the style — moderate absorbency Thinx shouldn’t take longer than 10-12 hours to dry under non-humid conditions. These drying times may be affected by humidity levels and airflow depending on where you hang them up.
How long do Thinx last?
By following our care instructions provided, your underwear will stay at maximum performance for 40 washes, which is typically around 2 years.
