Orders, shipping, & stuff
I’ve already submitted my order, but I need to make a change! What do I do? Is it too late?
We process our orders quickly (so you can get your undies in a jiff), but we will do our best to accommodate any requests you may have. The best way to adjust or cancel an order is to email email@example.com or call us at (917) 819-8171.
How long must I wait for my undies after I submit my order?
Your order should ship within 1-2 business days (Mon-Fri, before 5pm), and arrive within 5-7 business days if you select standard shipping, or 1-3 business days with expedited shipping (Continental U.S.) —UNLESS you've pre-ordered something, in which case the shipping date was indicated upon placing your order.
What is your return policy?
Not loving them? No worries — we process returns and exchanges within 60 days of purchase (not valid on final sale items, tampons, merch, or gift cards), no questions asked! We will also provide you with a free pre-paid return label. You can request a return or exchange via returns.shethinx.com. If your order qualifies, you'll receive an instant refund code (enter it at checkout). Your instant refund code will allow you to shop again immediately. Just remember to send your items back within 30 days or you'll be charged for the purchase. If you want to buy a different style, use your instant refund code and the provided free shipping code to re-purchase (we can only process direct exchanges for different sizes and colors of the same style through our portal). If you prefer a monetary refund, the instant refund code will automatically expire in 5 business days, and you'll receive a monetary refund within 5 days of your items being received by our warehouse.
What’s a Saver Set?
Saver Sets are a pre-built pack of 2-3 Thinx undies that can be purchased as one item. When you snag a Saver Set, you’re stocking up on your favorite styles *and* saving $$$. These are not eligible for our Custom Set Discount, and undies in a Set can only be returned or exchanged together — not individually.
I live abroad. Can I still order Thinx?
Yes! We offer international shipping, so people with periods all around the world can period better.
Does Thinx cover taxes, duty, etc. for international customers?
Unfortunately, our prices don't include local taxes, duties, brokerage fees, and VATs, all the stuff you may be charged to receive your Thinx shipment at home. *Make sure you consider all fees,* because once your order arrives you'll be required to pay all taxes, duties, etc. (we won't be able to refund you if you change your mind).
What currency do y'all accept?
We accept nearly all local currencies. On the off chance we do not accept your local currency, you'll have the option of checking out in USD, CAD, EUR, AUD, or British Pounds. The currency should automatically change based on your location!
I'm having trouble placing my order on your website. Help!

How do Thinx work?
Thinx are underwear that absorb your period. Every pair is made with a patented design and our signature technology that's moisture-wicking, odor-controlling, super-absorbent, and leak-resistant. They all work together to do their thang (aka keep you fresh and dry). Take a look at our How it Works page to learn more.
How much fluid can Thinx hold?
Thinx can hold up to 2 regular tampons’ worth of fluid (10 mL), but absorbency levels vary depending on underwear style. We recommend trying Thinx for the first time at home so you can see how they best work for your body and ~flow~.
Yup. Check the shop page to see all our styles.
How do I pick the right size underwear?
Use our handy li'l size chart to figure out your hip and waist measurements, and which size Thinx will be best for you.
Are Thinx a replacement for my current routine?
Depending on your flow (light, medium, heavy), Thinx can replace liners, pads, tampons, and cups, or be worn with tampons or cups for extra protection. As we say, ~know your flow~, and try Thinx at home first to see what routine works best for you.
Are Thinx hygienic?
Our undies are designed with our signature period-proof technology, which neutralizes bad odors and bacteria. Plus, it's also super-absorbent and sweat-wicking to keep you fresh and dry. Yay!
How do Thinx control odor?
The wicking layer of our signature period-proof technology has an application of non-migratory silver, commonly used in performance wear and medical devices to control odor and the spread of bacteria. “Non-migratory” means it won’t come off your undies and that it only responds to bacteria *on the fabric*, not on your skin (so your vaginal microbiome stays fresh and balanced!).
Can Thinx be used for urinary incontinence or light bladder leaks?
We actually have a product called Icon that’s designed specifically for this purpose! Visit iconundies.com for more info.
Can I wear Thinx as a swimsuit?
We don’t recommend wearing these undies as a swimsuit because we can’t guarantee the technology will work in the water.
I have sensitive skin. What are Thinx made out of? Will they irritate me?
In every pair of Thinx, the layer that sits closest to your skin is soft, natural, breathable cotton (ahhh, that feels nice). The rest of the tech is held in ultra-thin layers between that cotton interior and the leak-resistant barrier. Here are the material breakdowns:
Classic: Body: 89% nylon, 11% elastane Gusset: 95% cotton, 5% elastane; middle breathable PUL
Organic Cotton: Body: 95% organic cotton, 5% elastane Gusset: 95% cotton, 5% elastane; middle breathable PUL
Thinx air: Body: 78% polyamide, 22% elastane; Gusset: 95% cotton, 5% elastane; middle breathable PUL

What’s the difference between your Organic Cotton undies and Classic undies?
Like our Classic undies, the gusset in our Organic Cotton line has our signature leak-fighting tech. The big difference between these two lines is that the body of our Organic Cotton undies is made with—you guessed it!—organic cotton.
I thought your undies were always made with cotton?
Yes, the top layer of our gusset (the part that sits closest to your V) has always been made with cotton, but with our Organic Cotton line, the body of the undies is made with organic cotton.
Is the sizing of your Organic Cotton undies the same?
Yes. Check out our size chart for help selecting your Thinx. And if the fit isn’t right don't worry — we have a super-easy exchange policy!
Are they organic?
Yes, our Organic Cotton line is made with organic cotton!
What’s the difference between Thinx Classic and Thinx Super?
Thinx Super holds up to 4 tampons’ worth of your flow, which means that it can be worn without backup period products (i.e., tampons, pads, liners, cups) during your period. This also means that the gusset is a little bit thicker than our Thinx Classic undies, which hold up to 2 tampons’ worth.
4 tampons? For real?
Yup. Thinx Super absorbs up to 4 regular tampons’ worth of your flow — all while keeping you fresh, dry, and odor-free.
How do I know if I should be using Thinx Classic or Thinx Super?
We recommend Thinx Super for heavier flows and overnight use. If you’ve got a light to moderate flow, or if you’re looking for coverage on your lighter days, we recommend Thinx Classic or Organic Cotton. To get matched with the right Thinx for your period, take our Know Your Flow quiz!
How do I take care of Thinx Super?
It’s the same deal as all of our period-proof undies! Just rinse after use, throw ‘em in a mesh laundry bag and machine wash on a cold cycle, and hang dry — that’s it.
What’s the difference between Thinx air undies and Classic undies?
Like all of our undies, Thinx air is made with our signature period-proof tech. The main difference? The body of these undies is made with an ultra-thin, cooling, and sweat-wicking micromesh fabric that keeps you *extra* fresh and dry.
Is the sizing of Thinx air undies the same?
Yes. Check out our Thinx size chart to find the right size for you. (And if the fit isn’t right, don't worry — we've got an easy exchange policy!)
What are Thinx (BTWN)?
Thinx (BTWN) are period-proof underwear made for young people. Each pair is designed with our signature technology—moisture-wicking cotton, odor-controlling, super-absorbent, leak-resistant—to help prevent leaks, stains, and smells. Best of all, they come in full-coverage styles and fun colors that fit teen and tween bodies.
What if I fit both Thinx and Thinx (BTWN)?
Thinx are engineered for adult bods (you know, people who have already done the whole puberty thang), and Thinx (BTWN) are made for teen and tween body shapes and sizes. If you need help deciding what’s best for you, just give us a holler.
Do Thinx and Thinx (BTWN) have the same absorbency levels?
Thinx styles offer a range of absorbency levels so you can pick and choose what works best with your flow. All Thinx (BTWN) styles have the maximum level of absorbency to better support young people who have inconsistent and uneven first and early periods.
What's the difference between Thinx and Thinx (BTWN) styles?
All Thinx (BTWN) styles are full-coverage, so they’ve got young people’s backs through long school days, sports practices, club meetings, and beyond — without feeling bulky or wet. Thinx come in a variety of styles (from barely there thongs to super-comfy boyshorts) so you can match your underwear to your period #mood.
How does Thinx help underserved communities?
Giving back to people with periods has been at the core of our mission since day 1 — but we know there’s still a lot of work to do (like more education, accessibility, and resources!). That’s why we’re committed to paying it forward through our giveback programs. The best part is that we’re doing it with *your* support! A portion of every Thinx purchase helps fund our giveback initiatives near and far. Wanna learn more? Email our giveback team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I love the product. Can I sell Thinx in my store?

How many disposable menstrual hygiene products does a person with a period use?
#Facts: More than 12 *billion* pads and tampons are thrown out every year, and the average person with a period uses 11,000 pads, tampons, and panty liners in their lifetime — that’s a lotta landfill, y’all!
What happens to disposable period products when they’re thrown out?
It takes 6 months for a tampon to biodegrade, and pads and applicators sit in landfills for centuries!
How can I reduce my impact on the planet with the period products I choose?
We found that 97% of people with periods are willing to try products that are kinder to Mother Nature — so you’re in good company! It’s important to use whatever works best for *you*, but if you want to start reducing your impact, try reusable products (like Thinx undies and re.t.a, our reusable tampon applicator).
