Kelsey and Emma from TEAM THINX would not call themselves “enthusi-active” (i.e. the only marathon they’re training for is their 5th Sex and the city binge.) However, when our persnickety pair had the opportunity to learn about boxing from Olympic gold medalist Claressa Shields & learn more about her work with Up2Us Sports, they threw on their dusty sneakers and headed to Gleason's Gym in Brooklyn to learn the basics and hopefully come out swingin'! Boxing was not just a great form of exercise (no surprise--they want to do it again!) but it was a great stress reliever and a surprisingly ideal mental health activity.
