Are you #FloodingThePhones with us? Here's Your Phone Script to Get Started!

At THINX, 2017 is going to be a year of action, and we'd love for you to join us in our mission to stay vocal and active in championing women's rights. We're kicking things off today with our #FloodThePhones event. We're calling every single GOP woman in the House (trust us, we're not kidding) and expressing our concerns. If you'd like to join us at home, you can follow along with our script below!

Let's do this, y'all.

Hi, is Representative _________ available?
If YES, hold for the Representative:
Hi Representative_________, how are you?
Thank you for speaking with me today. My name is _________, I’m a volunteer with
THINX, {{a woman}} OR {{an ally to women}} and a concerned American citizen. I’m
calling to ask you, someone with power in our governing body of the people, to follow
through on your promise to represent and defend your fellow women in the United
States House of Representatives. Specifically, I’m wondering whether you have
considered speaking with your Republican colleagues about the dangerous ramifications
of repealing Obamacare that could be particularly harmful to women. {{Pause for
answer. You can do it!}}
It is your duty to stand up against Trump’s policies that threaten women’s health.
Women’s rights are human rights, so we expect you to stand up to any motions that
threaten refugees, immigrants, the LGBTQ community, or people of color. Women are
part of all of these groups.
Can I have your verbal commitment that you will stand up for our rights in the days
ahead?
Thank you, have a wonderful day!

If NO, continue with speech:
Are you on Representative _____’s staff?
Hi _________, how are you?
May I speak with Representative______? If not...
My name is _________, I’m a volunteer with THINX, {{a woman}} OR {{an ally to
women}} and a concerned American citizen. I’m calling to ask Representative

through on her promise to represent and defend her fellow women in the United States
House of Representatives. Specifically, I’m wondering whether she has considered
speaking with her Republican colleagues about the dangerous ramifications of repealing Obamacare that could be particularly harmful to women. {{Pause for answer! You can

I appreciate your passing this message along to Representative _____________. Is
there a time I can call back to speak directly with her?
Have a wonderful day!
