Chances are, you've probably been seeing us a little bit of everywhere recently. (Podcasts! Facebook! IG! Cable! Even Hulu!) In case you missed it, we recently launched our first national campaign on October 3rd. Fun fact: we were actually the first period underwear brand to launch a campaign of this size.

When it came to creating our commercial, the most important thing to us was figuring out a way to bring the conversation about periods to the forefront. Gloria Steinem explores periods (and the stigma that surrounds them) in her 1986 essay, “If Men Could Menstruate,” wherein cisgender men menstruate and cisgender women do not. In this world, periods are celebrated in a way they currently aren’t for the actual population of people with periods today.

Here’s the thing though, right now, over half the population *will* have a period in their lifetimes. So what would it take to change the period conversation today?

We started thinking: If everyone had periods (including cisgender men), would we be more comfortable with them?

#IfWeAllHadPeriods what would our world look like? Here’s what some folks from Team Thinx came up with:

"If we all had periods... Planned Parenthood would have the funding it deserves!" - Lauren

"If we all had periods... there would be NO MORE menstrual huts!" - Hilary

"If we all had periods... Uber drivers would give free tampons." - Leesa

"If we all had periods... you would never have to say why you're going to the bathroom!" - Sonia

"If we all had periods... we would have a female president." - Dani

"If we all had periods... we would have more women in government!" - Juliana
