Gift Guide for People With Periods Photo

It’s that most wonderful time of the year, when every store, brand, and maybe even your local bagel place is trying to give you a ~gift guide~ (real talk, I would like to see a gift guide from my bagel place). So, why not a gift guide from your fave period undies brand that focuses entirely on gifts for that most magical and festive (lol) time of the month — menstruation. Without further ado, we present our period presents!

For your (cycle) sis

Your cycle-sister will love getting a little bit of curve back on her window sill, kitchen table, or bedroom floor. We love Rachel Saunders Ceramics Woman Vase and this Alice Lang Boob/Butt Vessel Set, oh, and this boob-y bathmat from Lisa Says Gah!

For your dad (who you may or may not need to explain THINX to when you go home for the holidays)

Show your proud pops some love with this Feminist Dad cap (plus, 20% of proceeds go to the Environmental Defense Fund). Another idea? Buy you both a book to read together, and then discuss! We like Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s We Should All Be Feminists, or We Were Eight Years in Power: An American Tragedy by Ta-Nehisi Coates, or, for the die-hard New Yorkers amongst us, GREATER GOTHAM: A History of New York City From 1898 to 1919, by Mike Wallace.

For your BFF (bleedin’ friend forever)

Give the gift of the comfiest PMS ever with these extra-fancy cashmere sweats from Everlane, or these super soft Pima sleep pants from Lunya (and if you’re wearing them with our new limited edition scarlet THINX, you won’t have to worry about period stains either). Top it all off with a soothing Bitch Massage (read our review here) and they’re going to wish it was their time of the month… the whole month.

For your fave taboo-breakin’ trailblazer

Making a donation in their name to a cause that is important to them is a great way to cut through the crazy of gifting season. Don’t know where to start? Girls Inc. is a non-profit org that helps girls value their whole selves and discover their natural strengths; Happy Period provides menstrual products to people with periods who are low-income, homeless, or living in poverty; and Girl Forward creates opportunities for girls who have been displaced by conflict and persecution.

For the Miranda of your group (who just had a baby)

OK, so this isn’t exactly period related, but we like to think that Miranda would be repping THINX if she were with us in 2017 (can’t you imagine the four of them discussing period undies over Manhattans?). So for the pop-culture lover in your life, what better than some Miranda solidarity from the brains behind one of my fave IG accounts. Throw in some Elaine Benes and Meryl Streep food-themed stickers too for good measure and feel confident this baby is surrounding itself with some strong role models v early in life!

From you to you!

Not sure if you checked out our sex toy review, but there’s probably no better excuse than TREAT YO’SELF to upgrade your DIY. The resounding faves were definitely Eva and Fin from women-run company Dame, as was the JimmyJane Form 2. So go on, make your own damn holiday season! PS. Our THINX pussypacks are pretty darn cute too, and this week they’re 10% off (so is the rest of our merch!)
